Dr. Alicia Castello

Dr. Castello graduated from Dallas’ Parker Chiropractic College in 1997, and after a brief associateship in McKinney, Texas, she joined with Dr. Pamela Eckmann in opening La Plaza Family Chiropractic in January 2000.  In addition to her chiropractic doctorate, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University.  Dr. Castello utilizes various chiropractic techniques and physical therapy for treating both the skeletal system and the surrounding muscle groups.  Her first exposure to chiropractic health care was in 1990, following an automobile accident that left her with chronic headaches and neck pain.  After the traditional medical approach provided no relief, and a dependence on pain killers, she sought out chiropractic treatment.   Pleased with the results and the natural approach to healthcare, she entered Chiropractic College in 1994.   Dr. Castello and her husband of 13 years have a son in pre-school, and are expecting a baby in the spring.

Dr. Pamela Eckmann

Dr. Pamela Eckmann is a native of Savannah, GA, and a graduate of Kennesaw State University in Atlanta with a degree in Biology (1994). She moved to Dallas with her husband, Lyle, in 1995 and received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker Chiropractic College in 1998. Her post-doctoral specialties are in Neurology and Nutrition. Dr. Pam is an active member in the community: she is a member of the Colleyville Lion’s Club & on the board of directors, a member of the Business Network International of Colleyville since January 2000, a member of the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce since December 1999 and Business of the Month in September 2003, a member of the Harris Methodist HEB Women’s Advisory Board, and a Stephen Minister at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Hurst.

Dr. Pam enjoys working with athletes, and especially active children, in addition to adults and those with aches, pains or injuries. She works “hands on” with each patient to help them recover or improve their health. She believes that working with the soft tissue is important In addition to the adjustment and utilizes a variety of techniques to accomplish this. Having been a patient herself since 1979, after a high jump went wrong, Dr. Pam knows the value of chiropractic care, and encourages everyone to “let the body heal itself”.

Carolyn Kohls

Carolyn Kohls, our full-time Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), has been a part of the LFC team since December 2002. She is a ‘naturalized’ Texan, having lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area since 1980. Carolyn grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin and worked in the Chicago area until she couldn’t handle the brutal cold and snow any longer. Currently, Carolyn lives in (warm) Grapevine with her better half, Roger and her two cats. She has two step-grandchildren (Crystal and Brandon) that keep her busy and is an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer.

In 1999, after spending many years in the computer industry, she decided to make a major career change to become a massage therapist, and has enjoyed it ever since. Carolyn graduated from Health Quest F.I.T massage school in Bedford, Texas and has completed the Medical Massage Practitionerä Training Program (Professional and Masters Level courses) taught by LMT Success Group. She is certified in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, Pre-natal Massage, and TMJ Therapy, and is a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Carolyn utilizes a variety of techniques in each massage session, including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Positional Release and Aromatherapy. She individualizes each session to the specific needs of the patient and works with the doctors to provide the most complete treatment.

Carolyn is available Monday thru Friday, with limited Saturday hours.

She is interested in continuing her education in the medical field to be certified as an X-ray technician, and to obtain additional training in medical coding and billing.
