Welcome to colleyvillechiropractic.com

Drs. Alicia Castello & Pamela Eckmann utilize similar adjustment techniques that include the traditional Diversified method, Thompson technique (Drop Table Adjusting), SOT blocking, and Activator Method.  The type of technique used depends on many factors including condition, age, weight, amount of spinal degeneration, quality of bone density and individual comfort.

In addition to spinal manipulation, our office is equipped with the latest physical therapy and rehab equipment, including Electric Stimulation, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Flexion-Distraction, Inter-segmental Traction, Upper Body Cycle and more.   Both doctors recognize the importance of using these types of equipment for relieving pain, reducing scar tissue and inflammation, stabilizing the spine and other joints, and for stretching, strengthening and conditioning muscles. These therapies work in conjunction with the adjustments to provide faster healing and to help provide lasting results.

What is Chiropractic?

Although chiropractic has long been recognized for helping back pain, it is not just for backs.  Chiropractic is primarily spinal care.  The spinal cord is protected by the 24 moving bones that make up your spine.  Many everyday activities can cause the joints of the spinal bones to loose their normal position or motion, resulting in a spinal malfunction called a Subluxation.  A Subluxation can irritate nerves, muscles, or other soft tissues compromising function and causing pain, inflammation, numbness, weakness, etc.  A chiropractic doctor is trained to find these areas of spinal malfunction and help return bones to a more normal position or motion.  This is achieved by providing a specific force (adjustment) in a precise direction to normalize spinal function and avoid bone and soft tissue degeneration.  Chiropractic is a low-risk, drug-free approach to health and healing.
